Diary

Monday 27th November - Day 419 (continued)

The drive to Puerto Rio Tranquilo was quite straightforward, helped by knowing the not so pleasant bits and the weather being average. We split this with a short break in Villa Cerro Castillo.

As we arrived a bit earlier than check in we pottered around the lake a little before heading over.

Post checking in we started watching PS I Love You in front of the fire but decided we should make use of a dry spell and get out for a bit.

Our expected low key walk started with getting a nice Ruta 7 Carretera Austral magnet.

Our walk took us to Mirador de La Roca Negra and up to the rock summit overlooking the town.

We timed our walk very well, having a lovely rainbow appear while we were at the summit.

Once at the bottom we headed to the river and into town. Nicola was kind enough to present Luke with a beautiful buttercup like flower.

At the cabin we finished PS I Love You in front of the fire, had a nacho dinner and given that we got booted from our sofa spots while eating, we had to spend the rest of our evening in our room.
